2013-14 Season End Party

The 2013-14 season came to an end last Wednesday. Like the past years, the club ended it with a party celebration. Our chess families brought delicious food, snacks, desserts, and drinks for everyone to share. The club held a bughouse tournament and Coach Flanders played simul against all comers, adults and kids alike. Steven Yang squeaked out a win against Coach and Nisanth Siva and Kyle Knutson won the bughouse tourney.

At the end of the night, Mrs. Gunn handed out prizes to every kid who accumulated points throughout the season by doing chess homework, attending chess tournaments, and practicing on ChessMagnet. Needless to say, everyone had a great time and the chess club ended again another successful season.
