Two 1st Place Team Wins to Start Off the 2014-15 Season

The chess club started the season with a bang! Thirteen of our kids (including Chloe Wong) attended the WSCF Discovery World tourney this past Sunday (October 5th). Six of them just joined the chess club this season and are first timers to chess tourneys. Nine of our kids played in the U500 division while four of our more experienced players participated in the Open section. At the end of the day, both of our teams took home the 1st place team trophy! In addition to the team success, George Gong won the individual 4th place trophy in the Open division while Chloe took 1st. Congrats to all our chess players and we are very proud of the beginners who decided to participate in their very first chess event!
