Great Turnout for USM Chess Tourney

We had a great turnout for the USM chess tourney held this past Saturday. A total of nine kids from our club participated in one of the largest scholastic chess tourney in Wisconsin. With 179 players from all over southeastern Wisconsin in attendance, it was a very competitive event with schools fielding some very strong chess teams. Although we didn’t come away with any individual or team trophies this time, all of our kids performed well with either 2.0 or 3.0 pts. out of a possible 5.0. This is especially a great job for first timers Benjamin Martyn and Kevin Wan.

Other participants were Steven Yang, Anshul Chawla, Nishanth Siva, Jack Wypiszynski, Kyle Knutson, David Gunn, and Brandon Gunn.
