Eight Attended the Cedarburg Thorson Elementary Tourney

After participating in the huge USM chess tourney two weeks ago, seven of our chess kids continue to develop and test their chess skills at the Thorson Elementary Chess Tournament in Cedarburg this past Saturday.

Brandon Gunn and Sidh Sridhar participated in the K3 section. This was Sidh’s very first chess tourney and Brandon’s second. In the K5 section, Anish Kusukuntla continued his winning streak by taking home 2nd place with 4.5 out of 6 pts while Anshul Chawla came in 5th (with the same 4.5 pts). Kyle Knutson also had a great tournament with 4 pts. In the K12 section, David Gunn placed 7th with 4 out of 6 pts. Both Archish Sridhar and Jack Wypiszynski also did well considering they are only 6th graders playing in the K12 section.

Again, great job to all the kids who participated. They are definitely improving in competition!
