Great Start to 2014 at Goodrich Elementary

2014 got off to a great start for the our chess club at the Goodrich Elementary chess tournament. Six of our kids attended this always well run tournament hosted by the fantastic parent run Goodrich chess club. David Gunn participated in the K12 division and took home a 5th place trophy out of 23 players. In the K5 division, Nishanth placed 4th out of 35 players and won his very first trophy He and George Gong also took home the 4th place team trophy for Oriole Lane. In the K3 division, Brandon Gunn also won his very first trophy by placing 5th out of 34. He was quite happy about this outcome! A big congrats to all the players and especially to Nishanth and Brandon for getting their very first!
